NTL, the first Italian company to specialize in literary translation, was set up in October 2000.

About thirty professional translators pool their skills, experience and resources, sharing the difficulties and pleasures of the trade. The main fields in which the company operates include literature, art, entertainment, advertising, non-fiction and academic writing.

Our curriculum offers an indication of the trust placed in us by publishers and media experts. Over the years we have also built up solid working relationships with a range of public and private companies, developing expertise in specialist areas of science and technology.

The working philosophy of NTL is based on professional competence and experience, a keen awareness of the specificity of different languages and registers, the sensitivity to grasp and convey the expressive richness and nuances of a text and a respect for translation as an invaluable process of cultural mediation.

Our team of translators are in a position to handle complex, large-scale projects involving various combinations of languages. Close cooperation between translators accustomed to working together ensures consistency of style and terminology.

NTL also organizes training activities, collaborates with universities and runs specialist courses in translation for publishers.
